Volunteering - Maintenance Support

The position of Maintenance Support is one that helps insure that the grounds and buildings are maintained in the best condition possible.

A. General Responsibilities

1. All volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp.
2. Maintenance Support must have a willingness to work as part of a team and to serve in a Christ-centred camp whose purpose is to minister to the whole camper - body, mind, and spirit.
3. Maintenance Support will work within and outside the program to help ensure that the grounds and facilities are maintained in the best condition possible in coordination with the Maintenance staff person.

B. Specific Duties

1. Maintenance of the Shop in a tidy and organized condition
2. Attend the first staff meeting of the week and welcome at all staff meetings.
3. Maintenance Support reports to the Camp Director.
4. Maintenance Support will liase with IFCC Leaders, Camp Director and Maintenance staff to determine Crew projects.
5. Help maintain the grounds in and around camp including repairs to all buildings.
6. Help maintain camp vehicles.
7. Travels to town for camp equipment necessary for the upkeep of the facilities and camp equipment.
8. Responsible for garbage pick up in all buildings and grounds.
9. Lawn Mowing
10. Check the repair log daily for jobs to be done concerning maintenance and grounds keeping.
