The position of Godparent is one that helps maintain the general smooth flow of camp and gives campers an adult to confide in other than their Cabin Leaders.
A. General Responsibilities
- All volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp. The Godparent is encouraged to be involved in the activities of camp and will be welcome at staff meetings and devotional times.
- The Godparent must be prepared to be part of a team serving in a Christ-centred camp whose purpose is to minister to the whole camper - body, mind, and spirit.
B. Specific Duties
- Participate in the daily life at camp and is encouraged to be very visible with all the campers. May be asked to help with specific duties at camp to help with the overall flow of camp.
- Attend all meals with the campers
- Attend the first staff meeting of the week and welcome at all staff meetings.
- Reports to the Summer Program Director.
- Ensuring the dining hall is set up for meals
- Prepares and supervises the dip'n flick before each meal
- Serves as an active support to campers and staff throughout the week.
- Participate in the daily devotions of staff and campers as needed
- Available to help out when and where needed.
- Help with the administration of tuck each day after lunch.
