Volunteering - Craftie

"Crafties" is the person leadig all arts and crafts activities for the week. General arts and crafts supplies are at the camp. Specific arts and crafts supplies can be purchased with the approval of the summer program director prior to arriving at camp. We encourage you to gather materials and recyclable material for any special projects or crafts being planned for the week.

A. General Responsibilities

1. All volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp. The Craftie is encouraged to be involved in the activities of camp and will be welcome at staff meetings and devotional times.
2. The Craftie must be prepared to be part of a team serving in a Christ-centred camp whose purpose is to minister to the whole camper - body, mind, and spirit.

B. Specific Duties

1. Welcome to participate in the daily life at camp and is encouraged to be very visible with all the campers. May be asked to help with specific duties at camp to help with the overall flow of camp.
2. Attend all meals with the campers
3. Attend the first staff meeting of the week and is welcome at all staff meetings.
4. Reports to the Summer Program Director.
5. Keeps the craft hut tidy and in an organized state.
6. Informs the Summer Program Director, in writing, of any regular supplies, i.e. gimp, which need to be restocked before the next camp.
7. Planning, setting up, running and cleaning up (with the assistance of Cabin Leaders and Assistant Cabin Leaders) all craft rotation periods.
8. Prepares craft activities during free periods.
