The Chaplain is the spiritual leader at the camp.
A. General Responsibilities
- The Chaplain is encouraged to be involved in the activities of camp and is encouraged to be at staff meetings. Leading devotional times for campers and staff are other opportunities for the chaplain to be involved.
- All volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp.
- The Chaplain must be prepared to be part of a team serving in a Christ-centred camp whose purpose is to minister to the whole camper - body, mind, and spirit.
B. Specific Duties
- Reports to the Camp Director
- Expected to attend all meals with the campers
- Helps to plan and run the Faith Quest sessions, devotionals, last night ceremonies.
- Develops a strategy for consistent spiritual leadership throughout the summer with different Camp Priests.
- Provides emotional and spiritual support to any staff and campers that may require it.
- Finds appropriate readings or prayers to open staff meetings.
- Helps out with other areas of camp when available.
