The position of Registrar is one that helps insure that routine office procedures are carried out on schedule. The Registrar will handle registration details.
A. General Responsibilities
- All staff are required to participate in training, ice breaking games and registration. All staff and volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp.
- The Registrar must have a willingness to work as part of a team and to serve in a Christ-centred camp whose purpose is to minister to the whole camper - body, mind, and spirit.
B. Specific Duties
- Answers inquiries by telephone, fax, and email.
- Attend the first staff meeting of the week and welcome at all staff meetings.
- Reports to the Camp Director and Office Administrator.
- Printing and delivery, to staff mail boxes, of emails during the summer.
- Responsible for photocopying, email, typing, filing and office administration as required.
- Record the daily tuck receipts and turn over to the Camp Director.
- Prepare the camper lists for each session.
- Organize the campers into cabins and prepare cabin lists and cabin health forms for the Nurse before the session begins.
- Ensure the Nurse is aware of all health concerns and prepare a camper list in alphabetical order with cabin number and medical concern for registration.
- Organize and train staff for registration time.
- Label lost and found that is not claimed into separate camp sessions
- Carry out all check-in and check-out procedures as assigned
- Respond to all bursary applications.
