The position of Cabin Leader reports to the Summer Program Director. Cabin Leaders have a very important role as a leader and role model for the campers.
A. General Responsibilities
- All staff are required to participate in training, ice breaking games and registration. All staff and volunteers are expected to live on site and be available for the entire length of camp.
- Cabin Leaders sleep in the cabin with up to 8 children.
- Encourage physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.
B. Specific Duties
- Establish cabin norms and standards with the campers.
- Supervise children at all meals and activities.
- Lead or assist in activity rotations.
- Participate in all program activities.
- Participate in all staff meetings and devotions.
- Ensure the safety of campers at all times.
- Make sure that campers get prompt attention for injuries and receive any required medications from the nurse.
