Cabin Cleanup

Everyday, campers learn to be part of a cabin community. They are given time to clean and decorate their cabins for an award that is as old as the camp itself, the Ferdinand. It is a iron frying pan with happy face painted on, awarded to the cleanest cabin. Cabin inspections are done by 2 funny video inspectors and the video airs each night. This is a big highlight all summer long.

Singing & Quest

We have a variety of action songs that we teach kids at camp. After all of the crazy songs, we have a speaker who leads "Quest" time. Quest time is intended as an opportunity to discuss and learn more about Jesus and the bible. This may be done through a variety of ways like dramas, videos, music, stories, games, or discussion groups. We promise an open atmosphere where campers are free to express and explore their faith in a fun, interactive environment.

Activity Blocks

We offer activities for every camper. Each camper has an opportunity to sign up for 2-4 activities depending on the age of the camp. Some of the activities offered are: digital photography, fishing, orienteering, drama, arts & crafts, exploration & fort building, and sports of all sorts.

Buzz 45

This is a scheduled rest period each camper has in their cabin to be called for tuck. Following lunch, campers are allowed an opportunity to purchase snacks from our tuck shop to a maximum of $3/day. Snacks range from chips and chocolate bars, to granola bars and fruit snacks. We also offer pop, juice, and bottled water.

Free time/Waterfront

This is semi-structured activity time where several activity options are available to campers. The spotlight for this time is our waterfront where we have swimming, inner tubes, The Blob, tubing behind a boat and wake boarding (for older campers only). If campers choose not to be at the waterfront, we always have staff available at the sand volleyball court, arts & crafts hut, or be available just to sit and relax.

Wide games

These are one of the most popular events of every day. Wide games are games that include everyone at camp. The most popular of wide games you may be familiar with already, Capture the Flag! Each summer we have new wide games for campers to play and without spoiling too much of the fun, some of them can only be played once it's night time.

Mug-up

This is the evening snack after a vigorous game. Depending on the temperature and mood of the camp, we either have juice or hot chocolate accompanied by cookies or some other tasty treat.

Music & campfire

We have music that is active and fun. With a full band, we have several songs that kids sing throughout the week. If the weather hasn't been too hot and there are no fire bans on the island, we love to get down to the campfire to enjoy this time.

Cabin devotions

After a full day of activity, cabin leaders do a cabin devotion. This is a time for campers to explore their faith. It may comprise of a story, a personal sharing time, a discussion with the campers, an act of kindness, or a activity. Our cabin leaders are very sensitive to camper needs and are always adapting devotions to best meet the needs of each camper.

Theme Meals

Theme meals are always special. Some of the theme meals we have are Over 90 Under 3 where campers either need to dress over 90 or under 3. Another camp favorite is monk's meal where no one is permitted to talk. Talking results in having an eating utensil taken away! Whatever the theme is, you can trust that the campers are having a great time.
