Camp Columbia May 1 Open House and Yard Sale

We were blessed with great weather and over 75 people of all ages and from as far away as Ucluelet came to our Annual Open House. Everybody had an opportunity to check out the newly renovated Hut 2 that St. Peters Quamichan spearheaded raising funds for. The challenge is for other churches or individuals to step out in faith and accept the challenge of adopting a hut. Call Darryl or Rev. Bob Baillie for more information.

Christ Church Cathedral, Brentwood Memorial Chapel, St. Johns Victoria, St. Michaels and All Angels Chemainus, St. Johns Cobble Hill, St. Johns Duncan, St. Michaels and All Angels Royal Oak, St. Lukes, Holy Trinity, St. Marys Oak Bay, St. Pauls Esquimalt, St. James Nanaimo, St. Mathias, St. Georges, St. Peters Campbell River, St. Columba and St.Aidans Tofino and Ucluelet, Inter-Christian Varsity and New Life were all represented. Proceeds from our yard sale went to purchase soccer balls. Not quite the proceeds we'd hoped for yet every little bit helps Camp.

Thanks to those of you who became Friend supporters. Thanks to Rev. George Pell our newest Board Member who led us in song with Camp's newly acquired guitar. Thanks to Archdeacon Peter Parker for bringing this donated guitar in his canoe. Thanks to Susie and her kitchen team for preparing such yummy food, especially her eclairs. Thanks to Patricia, Ben, Charity, Darryl, Richard, George, Jan, Don, Jean, Janet, Ned, Al, Dianne, Jennifer, and David for volunteering your time to ensure the Open House and Yard Sale ran smoothly.

We encourage more people throughout Vancouver Island and our Diocese of BC to arrange a visit to Camp Columbia. Come for a tour. Come and see for yourself some of the projects that Camp has undertaken since the fall.
