Staff Bios

Eric Yue is our Camp Director. With a BA in Leisure Service Administration from UVic, Eric's camp background has led him through 12 years on staff with Sylvan Acres, Keats Camps, and outdoor education programs in Victoria. Eric was the former Program & Marketing Director of Camp Columbia in 2002 & 2003. His most recent experience prior to his current role was working for the City of Edmonton as a Program Manager and for the City of Victoria as a Community Recreation Coordinator.

Shannon Rigby-Jones is our Office Administrator. Shannon started in 2004 and is currently studying to be a teacher. A undergraduate degree in English and an interest in children help make her a great asset in the office as well as outside of the office.

Mike Adams is our maintenance staff. A certified mechanic by trade, Mike's skills and abilities range far and wide as you can well imagine the needs at a camp. Not only handy with engines, Mike works with anything from our water system, to our docks, to general plumbing and electrical work.

Susie Apold is our head cook. Susie has been cooking at Camp Columbia since 2000 and with a short break somewhere in there, we're happy to have an excellent cook in the kitchen. As with most cooks, her kitchen is her domain but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Callista is the camp cat. Her roles include rodent disposal and being furry. She can also be found running away from the Camp Director.
